40th Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium, Dubrova Park, Labin, 2016
Forest Guardian was created during the 37th GKR workshop and represents the first major realization according to the series Touch Keepers. By taking into account the specifics of materials and environment, Guardian was interpreted through chaining logs in traditional method, and emphasizing the proportions through wider diameters. The sculpture creates the impression of a stop-motion and restrained power. At the same time it calls for playing, pulling and climbing, but, by its position, pointed parts and powerful ends like sledgehammers, Guardian also stands in front of the forrest as a warning and a threat.
